1. About a year and a half.
2. Absolutely not! My classmate, Luke helped me a lot with the story and did all the effects animation as well as the wizard twirling around to cast the nuke spell. I also have a lot of friends that helped with cleanup, sound, music, etc. and this wouldn’t have happened without them.
3. I used TVpaint to animate roughs, blender for 3D, flash to do linework and color the 2D and 3D, After Effects to put all the animation against backgrounds and color correcting, and Premier to edit it all together. I composed some of the music with Ableton Live and Janitor used FL studio for the music he did. Luke used Photoshop to paint all the backgrounds and even to animate toward the beginning.
